Retail therapy is definitely a thing.
These last few days have been a wild wild roller coaster. And honestly there’s a lot of new routines that are going to take a ton of adjusting to. But I’ve got lots to keep me busy, school 4 days a week, 2 new high school courses and an exam. I’ve got upcoming trips to look forward to as well! Where is Blue Mountain anyway… no one seems to know.
The biggest mood lift, sadly, has been all the new stuff. I mean, who doesn’t love packages arriving at the door?? There is NO better feeling than seeing that box on your porch. Even though you know exactly what is in that box, the feeling of ripping it open and getting excited after waiting days or weeks is like no other. Don’t fight me on that.
This week I have 3 new packages! The first one to come in was my ABH Riviera palette and that’s the one I was most excited over. The packaging was SO pretty, and I used it today and LOVED it. I’ve also hated the way iPhone cameras make me look so not symmetrical and ugly so I only ever use the Instagram camera to take selfies for posts. Today though for fun I decided to test out the iPhone X camera, and WOW. I highly recommend the portrait mode, it works wonders! I was shocked over the quality from my phone, who would have thought?! 10/10 anyway for that palette.
The next thing was my new phone case and I love that too! I had a rough day at school so coming home to that was so nice. My phone looks so professional now and also somehow bigger?? But better. The case is my new favorite thing.
The only stress is the most recent eye shadow palette I ordered said it was delivered but it was NOT. And my email to customer service didn’t send…. so that’s nice. I hate wasting money and have been scammed too many times, so here’s to hoping that it comes. Morphe seems like a decent brand so we will see.
The thing I did for myself today was deleting my other Instagram page. I made a new one but I needed the fresh start, 350 followers was great number wise, but when I got thinking, there was so much stuff on there I don’t care about or need to see. So this new one I’m going to build slowly, and have only a VERY select amount of people on there. And Ava the Instagram spy will be all over it for sure.
