The Weekend I’ve Had

I know it’s only been a few days since I’ve posted on this blog, but it’s been an interesting weekend.

It all started Saturday morning when I was trying to locate my Morphe palette that I didn’t think was delivered. After a few emails I realized- my parents never check our mailbox, so it’s possible it was in the mailbox and not delivered to our porch. In an excited rush I ran with the mail key to find it….in my PJs. I’ll tell you I’ve never walked so fast in my life. The ice was still frozen on the road and I waddled so fast, checking every yard to make sure no one could see me waddling along avoiding an icy fall in my blue PJ pants and over sized gray sweater. Thankfully, no one saw me and my package was there so it wasn’t a waste of time. And it’s so pretty so totally worth my time. I also totally thought I’m part of a suburb now running to the mailbox in PJs at 9am on a Saturday. Good times.

Saturday afternoon though I found the cutest Tommy Hilfiger shirt at Marshalls with my mom, so that brightened up my day. I used up the last of my $100+ gift card but my aunt was nice enough to have given me another one so I still can get another one if i want!

Saturday night I almost fell asleep during the Maple Leafs game because some people kept saying the time was really an hour ahead because of the time change, so at 11pm my brain now decided it was really 12am. Good times.

Sunday I actually felt better than I have since a hard decision was made. And while I’ll never forgive some people for lies they said about me, and the doubts they fed, I feel a lot better. I laughed so hard at lunch I thought I was going to throw up my strawberries. Which after feeling sad for a long time is a surprisingly good feeling.

Sunday afternoon we ventured out to Sarnia to go to the mall, because we are extra and needed a change of scenery. I ended up finding a Kylie lip kit and those white boards I love for my room, so even though the mall was small and a bit shady, it was a nice time. Mom cracked me up big time after she suggested a pair of “jean shoes” for my dad. I don’t know when she thinks jean shoes are EVER going to be in style. Ava is on a ton of sleepovers this week so I know she will get a kick out of that when I tell her.

Parent of the year award also goes to my dad on Sunday, because he took us across the border to the States just so we could have dinner at Olive Garden. I had some pretty good lasagna (can’t rival bisnonna’s!) and those breadsticks are to die for. I also got to pick up some white chocolate Reese Cups so that was cool too.

That ends my post for today, until next time!
