Life: There’s the good, and also the crazy

It seems like such a long time since I’ve been on this blog, and so much has happened since.

On the social media front, things are going better than I could have ever imagined! I’m already at 1.6k followers (how did that happen!!) and I have Sephora Canada’s Instagram page liking all of my makeup looks and replying to my comments! I’ve had Butter London leave me a comment after using their mascara ONCE and best of all the creative director at Anastasia Beverly Hills liked my comment!!! All these things are happening that I never even thought was possible for me. Another new piece of news that I haven’t posted yet is Influenster is sending me a Voxbox! I’m going to be trying and reviewing some Kat Von D mascara, which is so exciting!

School has been fun, we are learning so much so fast. I have at least 1 written test per week so between the high school and that I have my hands full. I can’t wait to start client days but I am nervous about practicing on real actual people who are 100% judging how well I’m doing. I (so far) have been getting high 90’s on all of my tests, so as long as I keep it up I should be on track to graduate with honours. I’m hoping! I also finished the coursework so my high school business course, so once I’m done that exam I officially have 2 more courses left until I get my diploma! It’s crazy to think I’ll be getting two different diplomas in 2019 as long as I pass everything.

I did start a new job too which is why I’ve been busy and not blogging, but I am hoping to write a bit more. I love the job. It’s not too people heavy and it’s getting me some good admin skills. I think I have one more training shift before I start my regular schedule. Everyone that works there is super sweet and I’m really liking it.

The only wild thing is this guy who threw his smoking cigarette into our building then flipped me and the other receptionist off as he left. He totally had come from the weed shop across the street, so I’ll have to keep my eye out for people like that now. I sprayed so much Febreeze in the lobby I finished a bottle. Sometimes I think about how someone can think that throwing a cigarette into a building (a fire hazard too) at two girls who he’d never seen before who did NOTHING, is a good idea. People like that need to be stopped.

I’ve got a couple exciting weekends coming up, so I know I will have lots to write about in the coming weeks. Quoting Nailed It, “I’m just going to keep on keeping on.”
